If you're trying to do any serious maintenance on cars, you'll need at least a mid-level diagnostic scanner like this. This product runs on Autel software, which is used in much higher end (and more expensive) scanners. According to the FCC ID printed on the VCI that plugs into the vehicle's OBD2 port, it's a re-branded Autel MaxiVCI V200. So really, you're getting an Autel scanner but at a more attractive price point. As for the tablet itself, it's a ruggedized 7" tablet running Android 9. When you first start up the tablet, you are prompted to register. You'll need to do this before using it regularly. I tested it with a 2005 Toyota 4Runner, and it worked perfectly. Upon connecting to the vehicle, it will read and decode the VIN for you. I was able to select from a comprehensive list of sensors to monitor, and could monitor them in real-time as numerical values or plotted on a graph in realtime. The interface is snappy and I could easily configure things the way I wanted. The VCI connects wirelessly to the tablet via Bluetooth. You'll be able to use the product to do typical auto diagnostic and maintenance tasks like reading and resetting trouble codes and resetting things like the oil change warning. Some of the capabilities are vehicle-specific, so just be aware of that. The tablet is also equipped with a camera. This is nice in case you need to take photos of something on the vehicle and keep those photos together with any data you logged instead of having them on separate devices. There's a slot at the top for a microSD card. Adding one may be a worthwhile upgrade, as the tablet only has 64GB of total storage. Also, don't skimp on the SD card purchase. Only buy name-brand SD cards, like Samsung. A nice hard case was included that keeps everything safe when not in use or while traveling. The bottom line is this is a great value over the Autel-branded stuff, and a necessary tool to have in your garage/shop if you take auto maintenance seriously.

We got this since at our automotive repair shop we have an autel ultra, snap on and top don, all the scanners are updated to the latest file. This scantool even tho it looks small in size can do all the features and functions the more expensive scantools can, the only bad size is the small but the software is the important part. Will keep this as an scantool, honestly it surprised how fast it is and all the things it can do. Also its updatable
