Odometer correction and cluster calibration tools
These tools read and write the mileage value stored in an instrument cluster and its associated modules. The normal workshop use is correction after a repair: a replacement or repaired cluster arrives with the wrong reading, and the figure has to be matched back to the vehicle so the record stays accurate.
Tools from OBDSTAR, XTOOL, Autel and Launch, working over OBD or on the bench depending on the platform. Recording a mileage figure that does not reflect a vehicle actual distance travelled is an offence in most markets, so check your obligations and keep documentation of any correction you carry out.
